Streaming services have almost, if not already, come full circle. What started as a cheap alternative to cutting the cord on expensive cable TV has now become an expensive cultural staple to maintain and keep up with, as price hikes and crackdowns on password sharing have made having multiple streaming services just as expensive, if not more, than most conventional cable plans. Luckily, there are often discounts, deals, and loopholes to exploit that can make them more affordable and sometimes even free.
The best streaming deals right now
This month, new and returning Disney+ members can get Disney+ Basic for $1.99 a month for three months. After the three months, it’ll go back to the standard $7.99 per month unless you cancel your subscription. This will be available until Sept. 20. Keep in mind the price of Disney+ Premium, Disney Bundle Trio Basic, and Disney Bundle Trio Premium will increase starting on Oct. 12, so you can avoid paying those extra charges at least temporarily.
Sling is offering the Sling Season Pass, where you can pay only enough to cover all five seasons of the NFL and college football. The deal saves you about 25% compared to their month-to-month plan.
