Help Us Choose Who to Support for Giving Tuesday

[ad_1]

The Healthy Paws Foundation gives away funds each month to deserving nonprofit animal shelters and rescues. For this season of giving, we are donating $15,000 to three wonderful animal charities. One of the three will receive $8,000 and the runners-up will receive $3,500 each.

We are asking you, our Facebook followers, to help decide who should receive the largest donation. We are calling our voting campaign Tail-Waggin’ Tuesday to coincide with Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28. Facebook followers can vote for their preferred charity from Nov. 20-26. We will announce the winner on Giving Tuesday.

To participate, simply visit the Healthy Paws Facebook page and find the Tail-Waggin’ Tuesday post, which will be pinned to the top of the page. To vote for your favorite rescue, you will choose a reaction emoji corresponding with the designated charity below.

Here are the featured rescues:

  • They are hoping to buy the building they are renting and expand to serve more animals. If awarded the grant, they would use half for rescue bills and half for the building fund.

Helps: Cats and dogs

Their mission is to rescue homeless, abandoned, neglected, or abused cats and dogs. By working with committed volunteers, veterinarians, and trainers, they nurture them and provide medical care and rehabilitation while providing a safe and loving “cage-free” sanctuary environment for as long as it takes to find them adoptive homes.

They specialize in:

  • Rescuing cats and dogs from high-kill municipal shelters that are in danger of being euthanized and from directly within the community after an owner has passed away or abandoned their pet when they moved away.
  • Educating the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering of companion animals.
  • Supporting Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) programs as a means to control the overpopulation of feral cats.

This grant money will support three senior dogs who were just rescued from living in a car after their owner overdosed.  All of the dogs require extensive medical care and surgery.
